The International School of Baking teaches a complete course in opening bakeries on a budget. You can be confident that our staff knows what it takes to start a successful bakery and we have worked with entrepreneurs all over the world.
Each four week course is tailored to the needs of the individual student and their individual goals. The International School of Baking may be the only school that customizes courses to fit student needs and we are the only school that teaches one-on-one for optimal success.

20 days of intensive baking of European pastries and artisan breads This course covers such topics as:
If wedding cakes will be a part of your bakery’s opening offerings an additional 5 days will be necessary to cover additional techniques, totaling 25 days. Many people open with the 20 day course then after the bakery is up and running (about 4 months later) they come back for an additional 5 to 10 days of wedding and special occasion cakes.

- Type of bakery, product line, image, name, decor
- Best selling products
- Premises layout, both baking and retail spaces
- Production scheduling
- Formulas of products used in very successful French bakeries
- Learning professional techniques and 100% hands-on baking of the formulas
- Learning troubleshooting techniques
- Sanitation
- Bakery equipment suited for your specific product line
- How to design formulas using knowledge of ingredient functions and interactions
- Employee scheduling and job descriptions
- Product line planning
- Packaging, printed materials, product labeling laws, and local as well as federal labeling laws
- Psychology in marketing and advertising techniques
